2010 Teens’ Top Ten Nominations
Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list. Teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year! Nominators are members of teen book groups in fifteen school and public libraries around the country.
The Santa Barbara Public Library System owns nearly all the books on the list. If the book you are looking for is not available at your closest library branch, you can place a hold on the book for only $.50 cents.
Click here to view the list of nominated books and find them in our catalog.
Vote now for the 2010 Teens' Top Ten! Voting takes place through September 17.
You can vote online by clicking on this link or by visiting the Young Adult Library Services Association website.
Online Databases
Do you know there is a world of information available to you beyond Google?
Yes, that’s right – authoritative, credible, current, chock-full-of-good-research things called Library Databases.
 |
Perhaps the coolest thing about databases is that citations are provided. That means you can use the information you find for essays and research assignments. You can even send the citation directly to your email! In addition, you have access to peer reviewed and scholarly articles. |
