Other Library Catalogs
- Black Gold Cooperative Library System Online Catalog – lists holdings of member library jurisdictions in Santa Barbara, Lompoc, Santa Maria, Blanchard Santa Paula, San Luis Obispo City-County and Paso Robles.
- Ventura County Library Services Agency – lists holdings for all locations of the Ventura County Library Services Agency, which is a member of the Black Gold Cooperative Library System with a separate online catalog.
- California Libraries Catalog (in-library use only) – a unique database that shows holdings of books, videos, audios and other materials held by libraries throughout California. There is a $3.00 fee for each request ($.50 for Ventura Public Library items), payable at pick up. Items may be requested by contacting your local library.
The WorldCat Catalog is also available to search; but to request an item you will need to contact your local library.
- University of California/Melvyl Catalog – the Melvyl catalog contains records for materials (books, journals, maps, music scores and recordings, computer files, dissertations, government documents, etc.) held by the libraries of the nine University of California campuses, Hastings College of the Law, the California Academy of Sciences, the California Historical Society, the Center for Research Libraries, the Graduate Theological Union, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. The database contains over 23,000,000 records and most campuses update records weekly. Materials may be requested through the Santa Barbara Public Library System interlibrary borrowing service.
- Central Coast Museum Consortium – the Consortium is a group of museum libraries devoted to the study of the rich cultural, historical and natural resources of California's Central Coast. Participating museum libraries include The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, The Santa Barbara Historical Society's Gledhill Library, and The Research Library for the Ventura County Museum of History and Art.
