Reserve a Book
Requests may be placed for most items that appear in the Black Gold Cooperative Library Systems Online Catalog. A request can be used to hold an item for you when it is returned or to transfer an item from one branch library to another that is more convenient for you.
You may place requests for items listed in the Online Catalog in person at any Library, by calling your local branch, or through the Library Catalog, using your Library barcode number and your last name. You will be notified via the noticing option you have selected (phone or e-mail) when an item is being held for you. Items are held for seven days. You can check to see if a requested item has arrived at the specified Library by accessing your Library account online.
There is a $1.00 (one dollar) charge for requesting Library materials, including requesting materials through interlibrary borrowing within the Black Gold Cooperative Library System.
Items requested which are not listed in the Black Gold Cooperative Library System Online Catalog may be obtained through the Library Interlibrary Borrowing service, with a fee of $15.00 per request.
For help placing a hold on a library item feel free to call the Central Library Reference desk at 805-564-5604.
